Wall Street Journal: On Tuesday, J.M. Smucker Co. increased the price for most of its coffee products, including Folgers, Dunkin' Donuts and Millstone brands, by an average of 11%. Other roasters, including Starbucks Corp., Inc. and Zanetti Beverage USA, raised prices in the first quarter of this year to offset higher coffee costs.
Trading executives in Singapore expect the arabica-robusta spread—the premium commanded by arabica beans over robusta beans—to remain above 100 cents/pound this year. Read the rest of this entry here.
